If you live in the Springfield, MO area and are familiar with Trader Joe's then we need to talk. I plan on offering a few spots each month to lucky folks who want to purchase items from Trader Joe's when I make a trip to St. Louis. I will post a shopping list online so you can plan accordingly. This way you can get some TJ's goodies yourself!

Next planned trip: August, 2011 (heading to Austin, TX)

5/11 Took the kids and hubs to St. Louis and visited the zoo, the butterfly house and Trader Joe's. I didn't personally get to shop (sick), but came home with enough tea to last a few months.

1/11 My husband and I went to St. Louis to "get away" and ended up seeing The King's Speech, having a great dinner at California Pizza Kitchen and spending $300 on Trader Joe's fixins. Stocked up for the next four or five months!

9/10-3/11 Two trips to Los Angeles and three visitors from there too, plus a good friend sent me a TJ's care package when I was super desperate....

July I'm pretty sure we went this month...but will have to check calendar.

5/21/10 It was a wild and stormy day, but we made it to Trader Joe's in St. Louis...I walked out with two shopping carts full. Can't wait to go back!

3/12/10 On a trip to L.A. I stocked up with quite a few items, as I am on a wheat free, sugar free, low acid diet for my health. Luckily I was able to take lots of food with me on the women's retreat into the mountains!

1/20/10 At the Trader Joe's in La Canada I was chatting to my favorite checkout guy Mike (he knows his tequila too), and his parents live in West Plains, MO which is not far from here. It is a small world!
Also found out that they are closing the La Crescenta location and moving it to Montrose. How amazing is that? I'm worried about street congestion though. Mmmmm.

12/14/09 KC trip was a bummer, found out there isn't a TJs there, but did go to Wholefoods and stocked up on products for my daughter's new diet. (Wheat free, dairy free, egg free, yeast free, corn free and more free).
However, we went to St. Louis this past weekend, and got to go to one of the TJs there. Bought some stuff we can't live without, plus got a few butters and chocolates we haven't tried before. I'll review a few of those soon.
I also sent an email to Trader Joe's requesting a store in this area. Also joined the Bring TJs to Springfield, Mo on Facebook.

9/27/09
In about one month I will not live 5 minutes from Trader Joe's.
I'm moving to Springfield, MO where there is NOT currently a Trader Joe's. I haven't timed it, but will probably have to drive more than three hours to get to the one in St. Louis.
